Nicholas A Veronico
Nicholas A. Veronico has had an interesting career in aviation having worked for a number of leading publications as well as having authored or co-authored more than forty-five aviation, military, transportation, and local history books. He recently finished a twenty-five-year career as a contractor at NASA working on a variety of aviation-related projects; in his last position he served as the public affairs officer for the prime contractor operating the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, known as SOFIA. In 1996, Veronico partnered with Marga B. Fritze to write the Blue Angels: 50th Years of Precision Flight, and he followed that up a decade later with the team’s 60th anniversary history Blue Angels: A Fly-by History, 60 Years of Aerial Excellence. He has had the honor of interviewing many Blue Angels, from the first teams to many team members leading up to the 80th anniversary.
